A very similar layout to my last one, same fonts (aaah! can't you tell I love that font?) but with a different colour scheme. I normally don't use such contrasting colours, but I really think it works.
Features; tinyicons, custom font, rounded userpics.
Live preview: I'm using it here @

Instructions:Go to 'Customize' & apply any of the 'Crisped' base themes.
Make sure it's set to 2 Column (Sidebar on the left).
Go to 'Customize your theme', then 'Custom CSS'.
Where it says 'Use layout's stylesheet(s)', click no.
Copy & Paste the CSS into the big white box.

Let me know if you have any questions/need help.
Note! If you would like to change any of the colours, I used this colour palette, so you'll find all the hex codes on there :)

You're so talented ^_^ you better keep updating your journal with these layouts. I may become addicted ;D
Also, are they really not much different from LJ ones? *plots* I'm interested in new coding challenges :3

They seem very different at first, there is a lot more coding involved and the whole CSS document ends up being twice as long, because there are primary and secondary modules to code, but once you get the hang of it it's very simple :) I've only got the hang of one base code so far, Crisped, which seems like the easiest to start with. It's quite similar to LJ's Flexible Squares. I'm moving on to 'Tabula Rasa' next :)

Also! These would be totally viable candidates for submission at

Wow, really? I've never submitted anything there before. Do I just make a post in

The full submission guidelines are here. This would be a 'conversion', because it only exists in CSS form. My two bits of advice, as someone who does a lot of the conversion submissions - give both the base layout and the color theme names, because I am TERRIBLE at coming up with them, and if you're feeling up to it, a second or third color scheme. It always makes me sad to see layouts go live with only one color XD

A question - would I be able to keep the rounded userpics, or should I change them back to square for the submission?

And no problem - I'm a terrible enabler about styles, particularly because I see a lot of people complaining that DW doesn't have any good/pretty layouts. And I'm a good coder, but a sort of so-so designer.

FYI, though, there were a couple issues I ran into using Chrome--
- the default font (Lucida Sans Unicode) doesn't show up unless you surround it in quotes (e.g.
font-family: "Lucida Sans Unicode", sans-serif;
)- the rounded corners on the icons doesn't work correctly as you have it for webkit. If you move the padding/background color to the "userpic" container instead, it seems to work okay in both Chrome and Firefox?

But how can I change my font? Because it's still in default font.
